David Wertheimer is a digital executive who builds successful products and businesses with a customer-centric approach to engagement, conversion and retention.

A veteran in the fields of ecommerce, B2B and digital media, David is part of the product team at Pantastic, helping independent brands and small businesses by giving them the tools they need to grow and sell more online. Prior to Pantastic, he completed an extended tenure at Citi Ventures as an entrepreneur in residence in its D10X program, incubating and validating innovation concepts for the global consumer bank. David also ran the client website and mobile presence for Gartner, the world's leading research and advisory company, and created the customer experience function at PR Newswire, where his user-focused approach led to gains of as much as 200% on key initiatives.

David was previously founding CEO of Canopy Commerce, an ecommerce agency incubated by Alexander Interactive, which he led from inception to its position as a successful and sought-after boutique. As Ai's head of strategy, he led award-winning engagements with some of the industry's most influential websites. His ecommerce work began at Clarins, where he launched the company's first ecommerce site and greatly expanded its digital presence. Other roles include senior leadership positions in business development, strategy, marketing and user experience design, with companies including Burson-Marsteller and The Economist.

An active advisor to startups and small business owners, David has worked with such teams as RateFrame, winner of the 2016 NYU Entrepreneur Competition, and companies including GoReminders, ChannelApe and Threadlab. He is a mentor with NYU Stern’s Berkley Innovation Lab and Venture Fellows program and coaches entrepreneurs at Walden.

David is an internationally recognized public speaker and author on digital strategy, ecommerce and user experience. His Ideapad, launched in 1998, is one of the world's oldest continually publishing blogs.

David has an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business and a bachelor's degree from Franklin & Marshall College. He lives in New York with his wife, award-winning advertising executive Amy Wertheimer, and their sons Nathan and Eli.
